Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Teased Ahead of Geneva Motor Show Debut

Bugatti Automobiles will introduce a new version of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport at the Geneva motor show in March. The open-top roadster will be called the Vitesse.

The Grand Sport Vitesse will develop a staggering 1,200 hp from the quad-turbocharged W16 engine. Torque is equally impressive at 1,106 lb-ft. The increased power is the result of the four enlarged turbochargers and intercoolers.

The chassis was modified to accept the boost in power. Bugatti says buyers should expect the range of excellent features that one would associate with the super sports car, including precise driving dynamics and extraordinary braking.

Bugatti has been on a decent run in the last decade. Starting in 2005, it released the Veyron, which was the fastest car on the planet. Then three years later it introduced the Veyron Grand Sport. Two years after that, we got the Super Sport, which we tested back in October. Throw in a few special editions, and you have a handful of million-dollar cars looking to turn rubber into smoke.
